Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters, and FORGED is built to need as little of your data as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we don't. It applies to the FORGED app and the website at theforgedapp.com.

1. What the App Does With Your Browsing

FORGED filters content locally on your device using a VPN-based DNS filter. This means:

• The app checks the websites your device tries to reach against a blocklist on the device itself.
• We do not record, store, upload, or sell your browsing history, the sites you visit, or the sites that get blocked.
• The VPN permission is used solely to filter adult content. It is not used to monitor you or route your traffic to us.

2. Information We Collect

• Account & contact info: your email address, so we can manage your account and reach you about your subscription.
• Payment info: processed securely by Stripe. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never see or store your full card number.
• Basic app data: on-device settings such as your streak count and preferences, stored locally on your device.

3. Third-Party Services

• Stripe handles payments and billing. See Stripe's privacy policy for how they process payment data.
• Cloudflare provides an upstream family DNS resolver used to help filter adult content. DNS queries are handled per Cloudflare's privacy commitments and are not linked to your identity by us.
• Our website host may collect standard, anonymized traffic logs (such as page views) to keep the site running.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect only to: provide and maintain your subscription, process payments and refunds, respond to your support requests, and send you essential account-related messages. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as required for legal and accounting purposes. You can request deletion of your account data at any time (see Contact).

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

7. Children

FORGED is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
